I offer a HIPAA-compliant platform for video calls that is easy to use. It will feel like Skype or Facetime but it will be a secure connection to ensure your privacy. If you want to attend a video session on your computer, there is nothing to download, as the session is web-based. If you would like to use your smartphone, you can download the Telehealth by SimplePractice app for free. Ten minutes before our scheduled session, you will receive an automated email reminder with a link to attend our session. All you need is an internet connection and a pair of headphones for privacy.
What is telehealth? Telehealth is online therapy and it works just as well as traditional in-office therapy. I’ve been conducting video sessions for years with students and young professionals who travel or have busy schedules and want to continue their therapy without having to drive to my office. Research has shown that telehealth sessions for psychotherapy are equivalent to face-to-face sessions in terms of client outcomes and satisfaction.
